This book is a mastermind. It had the cogs in my brain get excited. It’s a page turner, about fraud, revenge, and tenacity, as four men work endlessly to get back what was stolen from them. This time, the con man Harvey Metcalfe messed with the wrong guys – overnight they lost their fortune, and are determined to get back at him, that’s the plan, not a penny less, not a penny more.

Fun fact: This was Jeffrey Archer’s first book! And that just put me in even more awe of how incredible this book was. I really wished I were a part of their heist as they traversed to the casinos of Monte Carlo, to the high stakes of Ascot, and the enshrined grounds of Oxford.

I must admit, however, some of the financial strategy and planning did confound me, but other than that, the language was elegant and pretty simple to understand. It’s marvelously written with just the right amounts of romance, humor,cleverness, and savoir faire.
