“Oh, what,’ I guess you’re a love-at-first-sight kind of guy?”
Dear diary,
This book was adorable. An uptight girl for whom love isn’t on the agenda… but things never turn out that way, now do they? Annalise Sherwood has toiled tirelessly to get a place on a renowned internship. Work hard, play later, that’s her motto. But one night, she decides to loosen up, and she doesn’t regret it as it ends up with the best kiss of her life. No strings attached, or so she thought.
To Anna’s horror, she discovers the guy she kissed that night was Lloyd, the boss’s son, who’s born with a silver spoon. He’s everyone’s favorite, winning them with his charisma, and walking around like he owns the place. As the internship progresses, he seems to find any excuse to annoy Anna, and she doesn’t hold back either. But late-night work brings them closer, and if he’s so annoying, why can’t she stop thinking about him?
Lloyd is the quintessential ‘troubled’ bright, charismatic kind of guy, the one most girls dream of. I love how his and Anna’s characters grow throughout the book, even though the storyline is a little cliché.
They are two opposites who can’t stand each other. So what happened?
