“You don’t need to have superpowers to be a hero”
Dear diary,
This book made me want to lawyer up! Theodore Boone is thirteen and wants nothing more than to become a great trial lawyer, with a life in the courtroom. He knows every judge, policeman, and court clerk and a whole lot about law. He lives for big trials, so when the biggest murder case in his city’s history is discovered, Theo gets his juices flowing. The husband awaits trial for his wife’s murder. Is he a menacing criminal or is he innocent?
The case takes a fateful turn when Theo discovers an unexpected witness with his own misdeeds to protect. Committed to maintaining absolute confidentiality, Theo must act quickly as he’s running short of time.
This book was absolutely thrilling. Full of courtroom drama and secrets after secrets. How a thirteen-year-old could take up so much responsibility, beats me. He’s out there trying to bring the killer to justice, while I’m out here binge-drinking coffee and re-reading Harry Potter for about the twentieth time. But this isn’t about me, can Theo find a way to bring the killer to justice or will a guilty man get away with murder?
